rebel against the law, rebel against the war... and now rebel against the military!

When we wrote the song Myanmar, first of all we wanted to express our solidarity with the Punks in such a politically unstable environment. We only could imagine what it means growing up there, fighting not only for your freedom of choice but also for your right to express yourself. Since then Myanmar took one step forward and now, all of a sudden, two steps back. And once again it’s the Burmese Punks who stand side by side with the democrat movement to show the world that, to them, Punk is more than just a lifestyle. Solidarity with the punks and all the other people who take the streets in Myanmar! Together against the military and for democracy! Check out the punk band Rebel Riot from Myanmar! (If you don’t speak Burmese, no problem! you can get a lot of information with a word translator!) https://www.facebook.com/therebelriot/ and their new video “One Day”: https://youtu.be/3ODKj6E-L5E in case you haven’t heard of the military coup - here are a few articles in german: https://www.deutschlandfunkkultur.de/... https://www1.wdr.de/mediathek/audio/w... https://jungle.world/artikel/2021/06/... The embassy of Myanmar in Berlin had a visit from the street artist Lacuna. A few days later the work was censored! Censorship will not erase resistance!
